2026 USA Powerlifting Northeast Regional Championship


MEET INFORMATION

  • USA Powerlifting sanction # REG-2026-04

  • Date: October 16 - 18

  • Location: New Jersey Convention and Expo Center, 97 Sunfield Ave, Edison, NJ 08837

  • Meet Director: John Dalessio  

  • ABOUT: This is a USA Powerlifting sanctioned event produced by American Barbell Productions. This is three day event with two platforms and a 360 lifter cap.

  • This meet is open to all current USA Powerlifting members from NJ, PA, DE, MD, DC, ME, NH, VT, MA, NY, CT, RI.

  • Membership must be purchased online. https://www.usapowerlifting.com/membership-application/

  • YOU MUST HAVE A QUALIFYING TOTAL IN A MEET FROM JAN 1, 2025 TO SIGN UP!!!! The QT chart is posted below.

  •  All USA Powerlifting rules will be followed and enforced. RULEBOOK .

  • This is a drug tested meet.

  • American Records can be set.

  • Hotel information coming soon.

  • Entry Fee: $185 for 1st division and optional 2nd division is $50

  • This meet registration is run through the national office. THERE IS NO PURCHASE PROTECTION AVAILABLE FOR THIS MEET. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON.

  • Coaches/handlers: $25 per session and must register online before meet. Deadline is Oct 12. Coach registration will open Sept 1st.

  • Spectator pass will be available online for $20 or $25 at the door per session. Spectator tickets will open Oct 1st.

  • Each lifter will be allowed one coach in the warm up room. All coaches must be a registered USA Powerlifting members to be in the warm up room.

  • Entry deadline is September 13th..

  • If you are under 18 you must bring a parent or legal guardian to weigh-ins.

  • Weight class change deadline is October 1st.

  • Meet Updates/info: Any meet information or updates will be emailed directly to registered lifters.

  • Media packages will be availble closer to the meet. Only the official USAPL secured media company will be able to sell media packages to lifters.

  • Sponsorship and vendor packages will be available closer to the meet.

  • There will be a Livestream.

  • Youth Boys 30kg, 35kg, 40kg, 44kg, 48kg

  • Youth Girls 30kg, 35kg, 40kg

  • Men 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 67.5kg, 75kg, 82.5kg, 90kg, 100kg, 110kg, 125kg, 140kg, 140kg+

  • Women 44kg, 48kg, 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 82.5kg, 90kg, 100kg, 100kg+

Divisions

Youth 1 (8-10), Youth 2 (11-12), Youth 3 (12-13),  Teen 1 (14-15), Teen 2 (16-17), Teen 3 (18-19),  Junior (20-23), Open (14 -+), Master 1 (40-49), Master 2 (50-59), Master 3 (60-69), Master 4 (70-79), Master 5 (80-89), Adaptive Athlete, EmpowerID and MX

Awards

  • Open Division: 1st - 3rd all weight classes

  • Youth 1,2.3: 1st -3rd all weight classes

  • Teen 1,2,3: 1st - 3rd all weight classes

  • Junior: 1st - 3rd all weight classes

  • Masters 1,2,3,4,5: 1st - 3rd all weight classes

  • Best male and female raw lifter by DOTS scoring. If there are 10+ equipped lifters there will be best lifter.

Pro Cards will be awarded to the best lifter in each of the following divisions if they meet the minimum dots (or age-adjusted dots) requirements listed on the Pro Series Website:

  • Open Male Raw

  • Open Male Equipped

  • Masters Female Raw

  • Masters Female Equipped

  • Masters Male Raw

  • Masters Male Equipped

Guest Lifters

If there are spots remaining starting August 1st, guest lifters from outside the Northeast region may sign up. Lifting as a guest lifter means your total will count as a qualifier for nationals and be entered into the lifter data base but you will not be eligible for a medal, team roster or best lifter award.

             

Team Registration and Information



Teams competing must be a registered USA Powerlifting Club.

  • Full team scoring information can be found in the rulebook section 1.9

  • Teams can register their clubs HERE with USA Powerlifting.

  • Lifters must be entered in the Open division.

  • You can't combine raw and equipped lifters.

  • Teams will be a combined men and women.

  • Team awards 1st - 3rd.

  • Team registration is $100.
