MEET INFORMATION

  • About: This is a USA Powerlifting sanctioned meet being organized and run by Powerlifting Events LLC. This is a one day event with two platform and a 120 lifter cap. This is a Raw and Equipped, full 3 lift power meet

  • Eligibility: This meet is open to all current USA Powerlifting members that meet the requirements for the collegiate division as stated in the USA Powerlifting rulebook. Must be a full-time student in good standing and be under 25 years old.

  • *Eligibility according to USA Powerlifting By-Laws "8. Non United States Citizens. Those citizens with appropriate government documents such as a “green card” shall be permitted to lift at any USA Powerlifting meet and shall be allowed to lift on a National team with the appropriate qualifications." If a foreign lifter, they must be a member of an IPF member affiliate and the National Office must receive permission from their home federation. You can still sign up for the meet but you must have permission from your IPF member nations federation before meet day. If you have a visa, work visa or student visa you must get permission. This is not a difficult process. Please contact me for help.

  • Memberships can be purchased online at http://www.usapowerlifting.com Membership cards will not be sold at the meet. ATTENTION: See note below about membership!

  • There is no qualifying total needed for this meet.

  • Technical Rules: All USA Powerlifting rules will be followed and enforced. The rulebook can be found at http://www.usapowerlifting.com

  • This is a drug tested meet.

  • Baby Powder will be allowed in a designated area (outside the venue) for application.

  • PLEASE TAKE NOTE: If you need to purchase a USA Powerlifting membership card wait till after NOVEMBER 1ST! That is when the new cards go into effect for 2018. If you purchase before November 1st you will expire on December 31st. You can complete this registration without a membership number.

Travel

  • If you will be traveling to NJ there are several hotels in the area. There is no specific room block at a hotel. The best thing is to use one of the travel websites to find the best deals.

Awards Individual

  • Collegiate - 1st -3rd every weight class

Teams

  • Teams competing must be a registered USA Powerlifting club/team.

  • Teams can register their clubs here with USA Powerlifting.

  • Team registration for the meet will have a separate online registration. Lifters must register individually first at the link at the top of the page.

  • There will be three types of team divisions - Men, Women and Combined men and women

  • You can't mix raw and equipped lifters

  • Minimum of three lifters on a team

  • Combined men/women teams are allowed 10 lifters spread throughout the weight classes with no more than two in a particular weight class. Example: 2 male 93 kg lifters 

  • Men's team are allowed 8 lifters spread out through the weight classes with no more than two in a particular weight class.

  • Women's team is allowed 7 lifters spread out through the weight classes with no more than 2 in a weight class.

  • Each team is allowed 2 reserve lifters that can be substituted any time before the start of the first session weigh-ins on Sunday.

  • Lifter point scoring will be 1st - 8th place 9,7,6,5.4,3,2,1 points - placings after 8th place will be 1 point

  • Top 5 lifters on each team contribute points toward team scoring points

  • Team awards 1st - 3rd.

  • In the event of a tie, the team with the most 1st places wins. If it still results in a tie it goes to the most 2nd places and so on.

Event Provisional Schedule

Sunday – December 9

 Session I

7:00 to 8:30 am – Weigh-in/Equipment check for all women and men up to 74kg

8:30 to 9:00 am – Rules briefing and/lifter warm-up

9:00 to 1:30 pm – Competition Lifting

1:30 to 2:00 pm – Awards presentation / Drug-testing protocol

Session II

12:00 to 1:30 pm – Weigh-in/Equipment check for men 83kg to 120kg+

1:30 to 2:00 pm – Rules briefing and/lifter warm-up

2:00 to 6:00 pm – Competition Lifting

6:00 to 6:30 pm – Awards presentation / Drug-testing protocol
