MEET INFORMATION

  • ABOUT: This is a USA Powerlifting sanctioned meet being organized and run by Powerlifting Events.com. This is two day event with two platforms and a 250 lifter cap. In the event of a sell out the registration page will switch to waitlist mode.
  • Eligibility: The meet is open to all current New Jersey USA Powerlifting members*. Membership must be purchased online.
  • This meet will only be for New Jersey residents.
  • There is no qualifying total needed for this meet.
  •  All USA Powerlifting rules will be followed and enforced. The rule book can be found at www.usapowerlifting.com.
  • This is a drug tested meet.
  • American Records can be set

*Eligibility according to USA Powerlifting By-Laws "8. Non United States Citizens. Those citizens with appropriate government documents such as a “green card” shall be permitted to lift at any USA Powerlifting meet and shall be allowed to lift on a National team with the appropriate qualifications." If a foreign lifter, they must be a member of an IPF member affiliate and the National Office must receive permission from their home federation. You can still sign up for the meet but you must have permission from your IPF member nations federation before meet day. If you have a visa, work visa or student visa you must get permission. This is not a difficult process. Please contact me for help. 


There will be No Baby Powder allowed at this meet. If you are using baby powder you will be removed from the meet. 
This decision has been made for all Powerlifting Events LLC meets. This is due to the mess and clean up time associated with use.


Hotel - There are plenty of hotels in the area. Use a travel website to book.

  • Youth Boys 30kg, 35kg, 40kg, 44kg, 48kg
  • Youth Girls 30kg, 35kg, 40kg
  • Men 53kg ( teen and junior only ), 59kg, 66kg, 74kg, 83kg, 93kg, 105kg, 120kg, 120+kg
  • Women 43kg ( teen and junior only ), 47kg, 52kg, 57kg, 63kg, 72kg, 84kg, 84+kg

Youth 1 (8-10), Youth 2 (11-12), Youth 3 (12-13),  Teen 1 (14-15), Teen 2 (16-17), Teen 3 (18-19),  Junior (20-23), Open (14 -+), Master 1 (40-49), Master 2 (50-59), Master 3 (60-69), Master 4 (70-79), Master 5 (80-89)


Awards

  • Open Division: 1st - 3rd all weight classes
  • Youth 1,2.3: 1st -3rd all weight classes
  • Teen 1,2,3: 1st - 3rd all weight classes
  • Junior: 1st - 3rd all weight classes
  • Masters 1,2,3,4,5: 1st - 3rd all weight classes
  • Push/Pull: 1st - 3rd all weight classes
  • Bench Only: 1st - 3rd all weight classes
  • Deadlift Only:1st - 3rd all weight classes 
  • Best light/heavy male and light/heavy female raw lifter by wilks scoring. If there are 10+ equipped lifters there will be best lifter.

             * light weight men up to 83kg - heavy weight men 93kg - 120+kg / light weight women up to 57kg - heavy weight women 63kg - 84+kg


  • Entry Fee: $105 for 1st division and 2nd division $30
  • Admission: spectators and coaches entry fee $10, children 7 and under free
  • Entry deadline is June 2, 2018.
  • If you are under 18 you must bring a parent or legal guardian to weigh-ins.

Team Registration and Information

  • Teams competing must be registered USA Powerlifting teams with a NJ registered address. 
  • Teams can register their clubs here with USA Powerlifting.
  • Lifters must be NJ residents
  • Teams may be combined with men and women.
  • You can't combine raw and equipped lifters.
  • Lifters can be registered in any division but must declare on the team roster the division they are registered in.
  • Each team is allowed 10 lifters spread throughout the weight classes with no more than two in a weight class. Example: 2 male 93 kg lifters.
  • Each team is allowed two alternate lifters that can be substituted any time before the start of the first session weigh-ins on Saturday.
  • Lifter point scoring will be 1st - 5th place 7,5,3,2,1 points - placings after 5th place will be 1 point
  • Top 5 lifters on each team contribute points toward team scoring points
  • Team awards 1st - 3rd.
  • In the event of a tie, the team with the most 1st places wins. If it still results in a tie it goes to the most 2nd places and so on.

June 24
